I am a 14 year old female. I recently decided I would try to start wearing tampons, and after realizing that I could not put it in, I went to go examine myself. I noticed that there is a large fleshy lump right at the entrance of my vagina, completely blocking the entrance. I don't have any idea if this even is the entrance to my vagina. It is right at the middle of I spread my labia. I also can't seem to locate my urethra, I think it may be blocked by this as well. I have never been sexually active, and I was completely unable to insert the tampon. Please help! Is this serious?

That could well be your hymen. There should be a hole in it to allow your mentrrual flow to escape. If you have periods and the blood flows, then you should be OK. Maybe your hymen is tough.
