Lump on throat kinda like a pimple....what is it???

I'm not a doctor and I can't give you medical advice, but I can tell you what I'd do if it were me. If it's growing, and its edges are uneven, I'd definitely get a doctor to check it out right away. But there is something like a 'blood blister" that occurs when the skin gets pinched. The kinds of purple bumps that usually aren't dangerous kind of just "sit there." If it hurts, or it grows, or there is a fever, there is something that has to get treated. Ingrown hairs can also cause purple bumps, but it's unusual just to have one.

i have the same thing.  i was scratching my neck a few days ago and there was this lump on my throat, in the middle, right above my adams apple.  i have no clue when it got there, but its a little bigger than it was before.
