alright im 24 yrs old female smoker and i get a swollen throat and a lump in my throat more toward the top middle of it it will go down but it keeps coming back and it can stay all day or go away sometimes it will go away if i take a sore throat medicine but if i go out side it will come back. other times i can be sleeping in my room and it will stop up at night and the lump comes back. whenever i got strep or tonsillitis and it felt the same way . i no it could be allergies but im scared its cancer now please help there is no pain it just comes and goes . i feel like i have an adams apple its scary at night sometimes i feel like i cant breath and i panic benidril has helped im about to try it now but if it dost whats wrong with me

Any thyroid problems that you know of? Your thyroid sits in the front of your neck in the shape of a buttetfly. A lot of people can have goiters from a lack of iodine. Its really common. I found a lump last year but by the time l went to an endocrinologist l was in thyroidtoxicosis and they completely removed it. Usually they can just give you meds but mine was really bothering me when l slept it felt like l was choking and l had to swallow multiple times to get a sip of anything down. My suggestion is dont freak out and go see a doctor. If they think you need a sprcialist they will refer you. Oh, im 29 now so 28 when it all happened to me.
