I noticed a knot on my neck in April. They gave me the strongest antibiotic and it still did not go away. I was then sent to have a CT Scan done and it showed up on it. I was sent to a ENT who then did a needle biopsy. It came back negative for cancer. In August, I was still worried so I went from my town doctor to a doctor in Atlanta who specializes in surgery. He ordered another biopsy and this came back negative but I did have more cells than normal. I am scheduled to go back in two weeks and I am wondering if this could be cancer. My great grandfather died of throat cancer and I do not know whether the needle biopsy is accurate or not because all they do is stick a needle in your neck. I do not know if I should result to have surgery done or not. If you have any help please let me know.

I have had a knot in my neck for over 8 months and they said it was some kind of sinus infection but I still have it and latly its been hurting.
