May or May not have gotten herpes? Burning sensation

Well here is my story, I will try and shorten it without leaving out any facts. Met a cute girl and we hung out and one thing led to another and we had sex. About a week later I get a call from her saying she ended up in the hospital a few days later with a fever and burning sensation when she peed. They found one sore and without doing any tests because apparently they didn't do blood work there claimed it was herpes. I freaked out. Well she has no insurance so can't get tested due to lack of funds. Although her ex of 4 years got tested and he came up clean for everything including herpes. I got tested a week and a few days after we had sex and am waiting on results. It's been about three week since we had sex and I've had no symptoms. Well except for a mild irritation in my penis. It's never constant and it seems like the less I masturbate the less it happens. If I had to describe the feeling it's like I feel like I have to pee but I dont. And on occasion rarely my right nut will hurt but it's been a week since that's happened. We had sex one time for about 20 mins (I know impressive right? Lol) and I was wearing a condom, and prior to this she had no symptoms of being in a out break. I've tried reading and posting on other sites but their replies are vague and no help. I'm fairly confident I don't have it but I'm still very scared. What do you guys think?
