menstrual like cramping for 6 days in middle of cycle

I have had menstrual like cramping for 6 days now and frequent urination. It is in the middle of my cycle and I am not pregnant. There is no fever present and I did a test from the drug store for UTI and it was negative.
There is no discharge and my urine is clear.
Any ideas??
