One of you is correct, in that the A/B Bioequivlant rating of generics, includes a -15% or +20% dose equivalence, that means, indeed, that the methadose can be more like 8mg. Also, due to binders, and also isomers. roxxane Methadone has all of its molecules the isomers you want, look at adderal and dexedrine, adderall has both d and l amphetamine, roxxane methadone vs methadose is same I believe, you have other isomers that are counter active, also/or you have the fact that some of the binders in methadose can reduce absorption and efficacy of the methadone. so, there are people who have almost died from switching from methadose to roxxane methadone, and there are people who have been real sick from switching from roxxane methadone to methadose. True story.
Me, I got plenty of experience with both of em and most psychoactives in existence, that we know about, (at least most classes of, there are so many analogues). In any case, my policy isnt fixed, but in general, it's best for me to stay away, however I am in withdrawls now from buprenorphine, which I used to get off H after relapse after rehab, shitty eh.

I can't help laughing at the information that your Doctor provided you. Where do these guys come from. Methadone and Methadose are for the most part the same drug. The only real difference is the binding factors. Per the manufacturer Mallinckroft Methodose was made with the intent to be broken down and injected as to where methadone is solely for oral consumption. Both are very cheap. You should suggest that your Doctor educate himself/herself by talking to the manufacturer. Methadone is a great pan reliever I feel 20 years youngers.[/quo te]methadose is slower because it takes longer to desolve if you crush it into small pieces it does better and methadone put it in water or juice and it will desolve fast and it will hit you alot faster

First off, whoever said they use a cocaine base to make methadone/Methadose (as if there was any chemical difference) needs to get their head checked, respectfully, or at least their sources. Cocaine is a tropane alkaloid carrying most if not all of the properties (in terms of effect) of an amphetamine. In the world of psychoactive substances, cocaine/amphetamines and opiates/opioids (like methadone) are as opposite as fire and ice. The idea of cocaine having anything to do with the manufacturing of methadone is beyond preposterous. If cocaine was in methadone, the contradicting effects of a CNS stimulant and a CNS depressant combined would shut your central nervous system down before you could say the words, "educate me".
Now, I'm not a chemist or a pharmacist, but just to clear a few things up -- methadone and Methadose are NOT synonymous, however, they are chemically the exact same thing. Let me explain -- there is no chemical or substance called Methadose. The chemical is called methadone, and its chemical name is 6-dimethylamino-4,4-diphenyl-3-heptanone (don't worry, that's gibberish to me too). It is an opioid (which is a short way of saying that it is a synthetic, meaning non-natural, opiate derivate, meaning it is derived from natural opiates, namely morphine and perhaps codeine) analgesic (which mean pain reliever). It does not come in any definite form or dose, as I've heard suggested here (someone said it comes in a small pill -- which is not true). It certainly CAN come as a small pill, or a large pill, or a cherry-flavored liquid, or an injectable liquid, ect ect ect. It is simply a chemical, and therefore can come in any form the manufacturer wishes to have it come in. If you had the know-how and the equipment, you could make methadone at home as a snort-able powder. The point is -- methadone is simply methadone -- the form you receive it in depends solely on the manufacturer. Methadone is generally created by big pharmaceutical companies that distribute to hospitals, clinics, and so forth. Each of these companies gives their methadone its own brand name. There are many brands of methadone -- you may have heard of them -- Dolophine, Roxanne, Cebert, METHADOSE. Yes, that's correct - Methadose is simply a brand of the chemical called methadone, and the manufacturers of Methadose decided to created it in a big white pill that is generally meant to be dissolved in water. Other manufactures, like Cebert and Roxanne, distribute their methadone as a cherry-flavored liquid. Every time you get methadone, it is somebody's brand. Methadose is the most popular one (especially with prescriptions), but you may get one of many other lesser-known or generic brands as well -- rest assured, however, no matter what, it's still methadone. Although, you may notice some slight differences between brands for reasons I'll explain in a bit.
But first, to sum up, Methadose is simply a type, or brand, of methadone. Methadose IS methadone, but methadone is not always Methadose. It's like tissue vs. Kleenex. They are the same thing -- one's the brand name, one's the generic name -- same goes with methadone and Methadose.
So, on this note, it is true that there is absolutely no chemical difference between Methadose and methadone, because Methadose IS methadone. However, as I mentioned above, if you think you have noticed a difference between Methadose and another brand (or between any two different brands for that matter), it is not necessarily all in your head. 100 mg of one brand (like Methadose) may not feel exactly the same as 100 mg of another, generic brand, for example, but it is not because they are different things -- it is simply because they come in different forms (pill vs. liquid, for example -- or, even if they are both pills, the way the pill is made can vary), and variations like these can cause differences in the amount of time the methadone takes to enter and leave your system. Liquid methadone for example, will come and go quicker than pill form. Because it enters your system faster (the liquid), it will hit you harder, and you will be more likely to feel effects such as drowsiness, euphoria, nausea, ect. Moreover, because it enters your system faster, it also leaves faster, so the overall effect will not last as long. Pill form, as I mentioned, is a slower process, so although you may not ever feel the effects to the same degree as you do with the liquid, they will last longer overall. Some pills can also, depending on how they are made, enter and leave your system quicker or slower than others, although the overall range of variation here is much smaller than will liquid vs. pills.
Now, just because these differences exist does not mean that you will notice them -- they aren't THAT noticeable. Factors such as having a higher dose, having more experience with opioids or methadone in particular, or being especially used to one form or brand over another will increase your likelihood to notice differences in how long the substance is in your system. Keep in mind, however, that some people are simply more sensitive to changes in their physical and psychological states of being than others are. So, many people can switch one brand to another without ever noticing a difference. Others, however, who think they do notice a difference, very well may (although it is likely to be placebo effect in some cases). The point is that there is no right or wrong with these issues, and no one brand "works better" than another. Some people may like one brand better, some may like another better, and others may not ice the difference at all.
So there it is -- that's all the information I got for you. On one last note, the people who have mentioned the potential for addiction and danger surrounding this substance (or any opiate/opioid for that matter) are 100% on the money. Methadone is nothing to screw around with when you have a headache. Like hydrocodone (brand name Vicodin) oxycode (brand name Percocet, or when time-released OxyContin), meperidine (brand name Demerol, codeine, morphine, diamorphine (heroin), and any other opioid, methadone can suck you into a world of seductive bliss. It can temporarily erase all your pains and sadness, but do not be fooled -- the drug simply numbs you out, but physically and psychologically, so joys and happiness drowns away along with your pains and sadness, and soon enough your left in an apathetic abyss with no energy or life-force left inside you. And that's not the worst of it -- sooner or later, you've got to get off it, and when that time comes -- you're in for a battle, and a mighty painful one at that. You can tell yourself you won't take it for long enough to get addicted, you can tell yourself you'll ween off it slow enough not to feel it (which, by the way, if you've had any sort of significant addiction to the substance is simply impossible), but the simple fact is that whatever pain you are dealing with now will be a walk in the park compared to the pain that is to come if you let methadone carry you away, and believe me, it's an easy thing to do.

A friend called me and asked me the difference and i told him I never seen a difference i have been on methadone/methadose off and on since 1990.
Yes I know a freeking long time
i got on for heroin addiction
and than I got of and was fully in recovery doing wonderful
Until my ex beat the c**p out of me and injured my back.
I was on Demerol and morphine and than the doctors just sent me off on my way and well that monster had been woken up and back on heroin i went and back on methadone i went when i got sick and tired of being sick. Needless to say the last time i got off and the pain was there i tried Oxys and they did help but i hated being all zonky. So I went back on methadone for pain
Imagine that beat it twice and end up back on for pain of all things.
I have taken everything from the orange biscuits, white biscuits, cherry liquid, 5 and 10 MG pills of both methadone and methadose.
I have heard many many discussions on many different programs in three different cities. The topic when a program changes the meds is always the same. Howe much different the new one works.
Honestly I think it is in our head. i mean when we were shooting dope we wanted the red bag with the star stamp that made two folks OD yesterday.
We never trust and we never are happy
it is part of being a addict
I also want to add While Yes it can have some serious effects when coming off The Key to a easier and more comfortable successful removal from Methadone or Methadose is a SLOW taper. if you go down Very Very slow you will be just fine. My best buddy was on methadone for almost 25 years.he got off a month ago. He did a slow taper of 5 MGs every month Blind dosing meaning they never told him his dose. When he got to 30 MGs he slowed it down and when he got to 15 he stayed for a while and then went down a few milligrams at a time till he was done.
Again he done a blind dose and that helps. As I said I also have come off a few times
Slow and easy is the key
drink lots of water take vitamins eat healthy and exercise.
The biggest thing is sleeping it is hard to sleep normally for a week or two sometimes three weeks.
Important thing is that it can be done and you can be a normal person
