I have good and bad experience with the mirena. Had one for 5 yrs... loved it! Gained weight but no biggy. So after 5 yrs I decided to have it replaced with another mirena. The 2nd one turned out to me a nightmare. Hair loss, depression, acne, fatigue, mood swings, more weight gain, migraines... then it became embedded in the top lining of my uterus! Just a hell of a nightmare!! Once it was removed, I noticed a huge difference within myself! No more mirena for me after what I went through with the 2nd one!
