I have been using mirena for a month and noticed that I have been bleeding for the whole month, but not a lot. I heard that this is normal, but when I have sex it seems to bleed more. Is this normal?

Bleeding after intercourse when you have Mirena can happen for several reasons. Most often reasons, especially short after Mirena is inserted, are irritation and friction that happens during intercourse. Irritations can be both located on cervix (that is Mirena’s fault because you are still adjusting to it) or they can be small tears inside your vagina caused by dryness or rougher sex. Also, one of the common causes for spotting while on Mirena is infection. Anything from a yeast infection to Chlamydia can irritate the cervix and cause the bleeding. That you need to check out with your doctor, unless you recently have been tested.
