I see you posted that some seven months ago and i don't know if i can be of any help..

However I'm an eighteen year old girl from Finland, so please excuse me for my terrible English, with more than seven years of common history with the CRMO. I see your daughter has gone through many of the same treatments that I have, except fot the methotrexate.

I started on methotrexate more than a year ago, and no-one mentioned anything about any fertility problems.. I must say that in the beginning I just hated that medication.. I was going through a good phase with my CRMO, and the methotrexate just made me sick. I took 15mg once a week and then for the next four days I felt constantly sick. And still it didn't make me feel any better.

Well, anyways, I'm still on the same medication (though the dose has been reduced), because, as you know, with this disease being recurrent it's often hard to tell if it's the medicins that make you feel better, or if it's just pure luck. I also tried remicade together with methotrexate but that didn't seem to do any good.. Well, i just got a new doctor who told me that she will be trying something new in January, we'll see what's that going to be.. I've become quite cynic with all these new ideas none of which seem to help me, but I'll take anything they tell me to take, if it has no harmful side effects, naturally.

I'll just keep my fingers crossed, and enjoy my life now that I'm able to live it quite like any healthy person of my age.

I wish you a lot of patience and strengt with your battle against out enemy. If you have any questions or you just feel like e-mailing me, I'm only happy to help: ***

Answer comes probably too late for you but can hopefully be helpful to someone else. Of all the useless treatments tried on my CRMO durin the last 11 years, methotrexate was the worst by far. According to my doctor fertility issues only affect males but treatment did no good and side effects practically ruined what was left of the normal life of a teenager. Nausea for three days a week and no improvement on symptoms nor clinical tests. Has worked for some but do not recommend.
