I'm on my 2nd day out from my Hemorrhoidectomy surgery. I had 1 external hemorrhoid and skin tag removed.
After surgery I picked up my prescription for Oxycontin (I was hoping for Vicodin or Percocet) and a bag of cheeto's because if I was going to laying around for the next couple of days, I wanted some junk food! LOL!
I had 1 Oxy when I got home which took some of the discomfort away and made me fall asleep.
When I woke up, the Oxy had worn off and then the REAL PAIN STARTED!
I could barely sit or lie down because the pain was extreme - on a scale of 1-10, Id say it was about a 7.
I also had the urge to pee but couldn't for most of the day but that subsided when I just relaxed. I also stopped talking the Oxy because I didn't want to be constipated. I instead have been taking Advil and it seems to help quite a bit.
Last nights sleep was pretty terrible though. I probably got 4 hours tops because I couldn't find a position that wasn't painful to be in.
Hot baths/Sitz baths are a life savor though!
Day 2 has been better but still the pain is about a 5
