For some reason I cannot get onto the correct site, so I will post it here and just hope that it can be moved to the correct one.
I have suffered with severe headaches since the early 1970's and for many years I suffered with them and could not find any medication to alleviate the pain. Many years later I was introduced to a pain killer that helped. It was many years after this that I actually worked out what the problem was and it was sleeping on my back. Sleeping on my back, I would wake up in the morning with a creaking neck which would develop into a severe headache. The only solution was to sleep "cold" so that I would scrunch up into the foetal position and in this position I could only sleep on my side. I also found later that reading a book would set off the neck crunching and that would also lead to the headaches. To overcome this problem I purchased a music stand so that what I was reading was at my eye level. If I really want to tempt providence, if I stand over a table looking down at a newspaper I can feel the neck going into spasm within 30 seconds.
The pain killer that I use is 500 mg of asprin, 33 mg of paracetamol and 65 mg of caffeine. I believe that they are sold in the UK under the name of Anadin Extra Strength, but I would imagine that they are available in most Countries. Her in South Africa it is sold under two names, Grandpa Headache Powders and Compral.
