I believe that I have a nabothian cyst in the os of my cervix. It is very firm to the touch and feels like a small ball bearing to me. My GP was unable to see it but possibly felt it and suggested that it was an enlarged/blocked mucous-producing gland and was 'nothing to worry about'.
I first detected it 2 months before conceiving with my first child and only dilated to 4cm during labour (though PROM was the main reason given for foetal distress over failure to progress resulting in a Caesarian Section).
Before embarking upon another pregnancy I would like to know if a cyst in such a position would affect dilation of the cervix during labour and is it worth getting it removed or would that result in scar tissue which could cause more of a problem than the cyst itself?
