my menstrual period lasts only 1 day

I have the same question. Im 27, haven't been on BC for well over 5 years, my hubby and I are really responsible about using protection. My period last 1 day, a day before I spot a but by the third day I have no traces of bleeding. We plan on starting a family in the next year or two but wondering if anyone has had problems getting pregnant??? thanks!

I dont know if i should be worried or not, but my period is irregular AND only last for two days MAX. And it hasnt always been this way...when i first started my period at 12, my period would last up to a week ever since i turned 17 it started lasting only a couple days. I am now 18 and it still only lasts a couple days but it still worries me.

I am going through the same thing right now. I was wondering the same thing, now i am 25 and have had one child, i nursed him for 3 months and then went back on my pill, everything was normal, and then all of a sudden i was so nautious and dizzy and then it went away and then it came back like 2 weeks later, with the nausa to the point of making myself sick to feel better, and then i started to have some light bleeding on the sunday and usually i dont get my period till the tuesday, so i was waiting for it to start and it was just very light and then by thursday it was completly gone. I am glad that other people are going through this as well, i have not mentioned it to my dr yet but they did blood work on friday i am just waiting to hear back.

my period last only 1 day or 1 and half day i am quite worried what is the reason?????

I still have no idea what it is, I went to the dr anf they did all these tests cause I was dizzy as well and I also had blood work done on friday now I am just waiting for the results. When I find out I will let everyone know

Hi there, I was glad to find this thread and see other people are going through what iam! I am becoming concerned because my period has just finished after 1 day. This is the lightest one i've ever had. From January this year they have got shorter and shorter, and they are lighter aswell.

Background:

Started my period at 13, I am now 21. My periods used to be two heavy days and one or two light ones or spotting. I have never experienced cramps but I did used to get migraine headaches alot.

I went through a stressful year last year, I became depressive and was at an all time low. But the worst of that was months before I started experiencing the change.

My periods are so light and short these days, weirdly, I still feel 'clean' I don't ever feel the flow like I used to or the feeling I need to change my pad. I've sometimes started my period and not realised as its so light. 

I have never been on birth control, haven't had sex for over a year. I just want my normal period back as im worried I am infertile. :(

Even I m having the same issue. i get periods for 1 or 2 days.which are not so heavy once.i dnt get any kind of pain nothingi consulted a gyno si sed i cud nt get pregnant.....very very muc h worried ..dnt nw wat 2 du nw...very much depressed....can u help me out....about how can i increse d rate of fluid flow...is der any specificatio on eating terms...is der sumthing which will help me out

Hi Nice to meet you Im 13 years old and yesterday I started bleeding and thought i was on my period so i went to go put on a pad then like about 4 hours later i went to go change an there was no blood only like some kind of brown stuff, today i still have brown stuff coming out? Is that bad? tbh im kinda scared that im scared that i might be pregnant, I mean i havent habe sex also bc im young do u mind helpin me?

Same here mine came on on aug 24th but went off that next morning I've had 5 miscarriages but the last one was 4 years ago in this same week could it be an old period but if i'm preggo then I'm scared that I'm gonna miscarry because of my past experiences someone please help:'(:'(:$

Hi.. i havent had sex in 6 months.. i got my regular period for 5-6 days last month but this month..it was taking too.long to come and i keep getting periods pains like if its about to come... yesterday i got the pain again n i saw blood....i.was relieved but wen i woke up today i saw brown dpots n its gone..im so worried..someone please tell me whats wrong im 21 yrs old.

I have never taken birth control but I am now having the one day period too. I am 33 and also have never had children. I started noticing the shorter bleeding about a year ago. Each time I get the same symptoms before hand of fatigue, cramping, bloating, water retention, and headaches. My period starts out really slow with the dark brown discharge and then finally within 12 hours I get what would appear to be normal bleeding of bright red. It only lasts for a day and is never the really heavy flow that I used to experience in my teens and twenties. The two days following my one day period are brown and infrequent bleeding. This can last up to four days following the main day. I wondered if this is symptoms of early menopause. I have read there are such things as Peri-menopause and also been concerned about PCOS. Maybe this is just the aging process. I first started my period at 12 so it has been 20 years. Maybe this is what happens but no one tells you this stuff growing up...

i have the same issue .i been told it nothing,and its normal.use to have 5-7 days,now only 2 to 1 day.same as your age,also same as you,no sexual relation.can you tell e what your doctor told you?

I have a similar problem lately. Although I never had my periods more than 3 days(full flegedly)  but now it has reduced to 1 and half to two. I am definitely worried, coz I know someone who ignored this thing for almost a year and now have gotten two ovarian cyst which cause infertility. Learning from you all that if it's on time there is no point of worry, but i would still request all who havent seen the doc yet, please do. I am not on any kind of pills. Even not sure what kind of pills you are talking about. I am 25 years old and married for 2 years. I am married but still don't have intercourse much. May be once in 6-8 months. Wierd, right ! My husband's job is like that he has to be away for long time. I don't know if the periods are related to that !! :| Basically I am very poor at this subject. Please help, if you think my problems could be interrelated !! Talk about the bleeding, it's not much .. as in i would change 3 pads max in a day.. just to maintain the hygiene, not because of the over flow of blood. I haven't seen the doc yet, but I will go after my cycle gets over. Coz this month around a week before my periods I experienced a strange pain in both the sides of my lower abdomen. Where the ovaries are placed ! Eh ! Not sure. If I stand for a long time it pains. My built is lean and I am quite athletic too. I still play many outdoor games and walk and work a lot. Eating habbits are not proper either, I just eat when I am hungry and I hate all fat products, mostly I have a mediterranean diet. This was the description about my health. If any gyne is reading this post than please help, Ma'am/Sir. Ladies  you gotta help me too.
