I'm 29 and have been pregnant 5 times, all which I carried to term and I now have five awesome, beautiful, healthy children. I never went on birth control except the patch after my second was born, it didn't work so I ended up pregnant with my only daughter a few months after he was born; the Depo shot after my daughter and it made me so miserable I stopped getting the shots, and the Mirena after my youngest was born (no birth control after my second-youngest was born). Anyway, my periods were regular, cycles were 35 days apart and each menstrual period would last 7 days; it was not too painful, and I had moderate flow until after I got the shot. The shot caused them to stop, but when I stopped getting the shot, I got one that was so painful I thought I was having a miscarriage before ever knowing I was pregnant. Turned out it was just a really heavy period. Then the periods went back to normal after that month. Then I got pregnant with my second-youngest, then after he was born I got pregnant with my youngest (not much time between them-- they're almost exactly a year apart). Then I got the Mirena and I occasionally had periods but they were extremely light, but also extremely painful. I had the Mirena for about 2 1/2 years before it started moving and I almost lost the string or whatever you want to call it. So I had it removed and since my husband and I were no longer together by that point I didn't start any other form of birth control. Since having it removed, my periods have been really weird. My cycles aren't very regular, sometimes as long as 35 days and sometimes as short as 21 days. And every time, the first day the flow is really heavy and so painful the only thing that relieves the pain is tramadol (aka Ultram), which doesn't even actually stop the pain, it just relaxes me so that I don't quite care as much that I'm hurting. Then the rest of the five days, it's so light that I feel I'm wasting tampons! It's so unpredictable, I've ruined all my panties. I'm really sick and tired of going through this, mostly because of the pain.

The same thing has happened to me.  Are you very thin?  Usually thin girls do not get their periods as frequent or for as along.

I am also very worry about my period cause i only saw some spotting and after couple of days nothing more only when i was wiping. I think that is maybe because we are stress out or have something going on in our lifes in the moment that affects our cycle and also that most of us are in the early 30's
<3my heart goes to all of u that are very worry cause i know what is like.. my worry is my ovulation cause i am trying to get pregnant ..

I am in the same boat as you. I recently had my period lasted 2 days and the 3rd day it became dry blood. I'm really worried. My husband and I tried having a baby for 2 years, nothing happened, so we kinda gave up on it. So now just worried about why this is happening. If anyone knows please let me know. thanks.

Hi, Recently, iwas having 1-3 day periods, that is, 1 ,month it would come for 1 day the next it might be for 2 or even a day and a half, sometimes 3 days. My husband an I are also trying to conceive, we've been trying for 18 months now. I tried using pregnacare conception for both my husband and me. Still didn't get pregnant, but what surprised me is after using the pills for a month an a half mt period was back to normal 4-6 days. And it's still the same. Maybe our body is just lacking a few essential vitamins. I also talked to a fertility speialist and she said that not getting pregnant has nothing to do with my light/ short periods. It could be caused by an inverted uterus, a blockage in both u and your husband. Or many other reasons. So both of us did some blood work and my husband did a seman analyst. When the result came back, my blood test was fine and his was fine but what they found was that my husbands seman sample had no sperm but the blood work said he is producing sperms. There might be a blockage of some sort. So to get pregnant, we will need assistants from a specialist. If you are trying to conceive and it's not happening you might need to make an appointment with a fertility specialist to frind out the cause. We are currently doing further test to pinpoint the exact problem, i will inform u all about the out come.

My periods are exactly the same: evening prior - cramps, followed by some bleeding (day 1 is the heaviest but never excessive - I can get by with 1-2 tampons); then day 2 occasional mild cramps and very little bleeding (can get by with wearing a single panty liner all day)... I am 29 and was previously on the pill for 10 years (age 18-28) which made my period lighter and cramp free - but usually still lasting about 3 days. I got married and came off the pill at 28 and my periods started getting shorter and shorter. I got pregnant 6 months after being of the pill but had a miscarriage ;( Since then, my periods have returned to "normal: regular (every 28-32 days) but are SUPER short and light - I can seriously get by on one tampon (the first day of my period and one panty liner the day after and that's it! Haven't consulted an OB/gyn yet but also concerned if this is normal. I hope so!
