I am a 31 y/o female, no children. I also have periods that last 1-2 days. I am not complaining, but thought it was strange. My back usually hurts the first day. Also, it's never really heavy, and by the second day it is pretty much gone.

Hello , I've also been experiencing this problem , however I'm only 17 and my experiences are very very similar to how you describe you're own . I've done lots of research and I keep finding the results that this means you're pregnant , however that is quite impossible considering I have never had sexual intercourse . I'm just wondering have you guys found any other possible explanations for this or is it something that is in fact quite normal ?

I am experiencing something seemingly similar, but my case seems much worse. I stopped taking the pill ten months ago. For about the first five months, I had regular periods every 28 days, lasting 3 days, but much lighter than before taking the pill. Then, the periods went to 2.5 days, 2 days, 1.5 days, and this month, at exactly 28 days, I had a period that lasted 5 hours, followed by a little spotting! I am really concerned this could affect my fertility.

Hello. Your post caught my attention immediately because I am in the exact same boat. My period lasts for about 1 to 1-1/2 days as well. I always have cramps this first day too. I will have spotting (if you can call it that - more of a brown colour than red though) for about 3-4 days after. The last two times I have been to my gyn I have mentioned this to him. He says that as long as your periods are regular (which mine are, about every 26-28 days) you should have nothing to worry about - you are still ovulating. He said every woman is different. It worries me because everyone else I know is anywhere from 3-7 days. Is your period heavy the 1 day it does come? Mine is not even that heavy. By the way I am a 32 year old female with no children, what is your situation? It's a little relieving to know I'm not the only one worrying about this. Looking forward to your reply.

I'm reading through the comments and feeling somewhat relieved. I'm a 35 yr old womand (will be 36 in 2 weeks), I'm on the NuvaRing, took it out a week ago and normally my period will follow a few days later. Well this past Saturday I spotted (brown/light red) wore a pad all day and saw nothing else... Sunday saw nothing.... Today I see nothing and my BF and I haven't been intimiate in about 2 weeks. I took a pregnancy test before my last period at the end of June and I was clear. I'm a little worried, I have a gyn exam next Monday. My periods are usually 2 - 3 days but my last period was 7 whole days. Is my body just going through a life cycle change?

I can relate I'm 38 and my cycle came for 1 day first time ever in my life and I'm freaking out. Dr says I'm fine and fertile so shrugs idk.

I am in the same boat me and my husband been trying to get pregnant for over a year no luck I have a period ever 2-4 months it last a day I was on before we got married iud (marina) and all kinds of birth control pills my periods only last 1-1 1/2 days very light and before I got the iud I had 3-7 day period's and very heavy I feel that I am under as much stress as I have always been on I tried clomid to jump start my periods if I did not get pregnant I would have to go see a specialist my doctor tried one thing now I have to go over 3 hours away for get my periods under control I don't know what to do.... btw I'm 25 with no kids

It's strange isn't it? Am 29, I havnt had sex for a year (I know, so depressing ha) and I came on my period in work on the Thursday at around 1pm, then I came on fully at 5pm when I got home, then on Friday (next day) at 11pm I was clear...nothing, completly finisher my period, I'm not on birth control, and my hormones have been tested and am not going through any menopause yet, tests where clear...I always used to be on 3 days max in my mid twenties, and I'm still coming on every 28 days like clockwork, I just hope this won't affect my chance to have a baby when I do meet the right person xxx

I have 4 children 15, 13, 9, 1 and my period is seriously like 1 to 2 days and it's gone! I'm afraid something is wrong, my cycle is regular, I'm 31 and it's been this way my whole life.. well it used to be 3 days now it's just 1 to 2 .. I have pain in my stomach when I'm ovulating and I have cramps when I am about to get my period in a couple days. I'm not on bc but I did take Plan B a couple months ago.

I have 1 or 2 day periods with moderate to minimal bleeding. BC pill or not. I am 35 with have been vegan/vegetarian for 30 yrs. I thought maybe my diet was the cause of the short periods. Doctors say Im fine as long as Im regular.
