Light-headedness and nausea are symptoms of hypotension. Adding more salt to your diet can help raise your blood pressure to a more normal level. Drink enough fluid to keep your body hydrated. The increase in blood volume will also help raise your blood pressure. Very low blood pressure can cause you to pass out at the wrong time and place, resulting in serious personal injuries and serious accidents.
