My sister who is 32 years old and she is pregnant. What are the chances for her baby to got lupus? This is hers second pregnancy and the first child did not experience and signs and symptoms of lupus until now. What are chances for second or third child to get it?

Neonatal lupus is rare. Neonatal lupus is completely different disease from systemic lupus erythematosus and it never develops into SLE. Usually, neonatal lupus spontaneously disappears in couple of weeks, without sequels. Neonatal lupus can get children even their mothers not have SLE. It comes up a few days or weeks after birth as rush and usually disappears without scars.
