Hi Everyone

Im in Northern Ireland and was refer to a gynaecologist today from my GP after waiting about over 2 months for this appointment when I spoke to her she explained that the procedure could be done but the main worry is the risk of infection so because of this she would only do one side at a time.  One side is larger than the other but they are both visible when i stand up.  She explained that it may be a 6 month wait for the operation and then said it could be 6 months for the next one - was anyone else told that there operation would need to be done in 2 stages - I feel that this is ridiculous to say its because of the risk of infection but then put someone through the pain and the risk of infection 2 times.

Hello, today I am 3 weeks post surgery. I was rejected to have it on the NHS. I had it abroad. And the price was only 250! Now I am very happy that I had it. It wasn't sore, just had discomfort for few days. And swelling for about 2 weeks. Had it done with spinal and sedation. And after surgery 2 days later had to travel by car for about 30 hours, but everything was ok. I was thinking about this surgery for a long time.

HAVING IT DONE ON THE NHS CUMBRIA Hi i am 25 from Cumbria. I went to my GP about my labia in july this year (plucking up the courage after 2 children) who reffered me to a gyno, last week (middle of september) i had my appointment to see a Gyno and straight away she put in her diary to do surgery on the NHS 3 weeks later. So there must be some parts of the UK that still do it on the NHS? I explained that it got in the way of walking, running, cycling, swimming, sex, getting thrush all the time, having to took it in all the time, they popped me up on the bed, had a look then booked me on for surgery (as long as i was sure that i didnt want anymore kids, but then said well as long as its not within a year) So i am goin for the trim method a week on wednesday! So NHS must still do them if its really needed in some places so don't give up

hi i know this is ages since you posted this but i'm desperate to have something done about my labia! i'm 19 and every day i think about getting labiaplasty.. i've rejected guys who i've actually liked in fear of the embarrassment i will have when/if we have sex! it's seriously taking over my life :/ i've been researching this for a year now but confused about the wedge technique.. could you explain it? also if you don't mind (this sounds really creepy lol) would i be able to see the before and after pictures? thanks x

Had an appointment with a gyoncologist today after waiting 6 months since I was originally referred by by gp. Could tell he didn't want to be there as I was his last app of the day. Basically he didn't let me speak and kept saying the irritation was a allergic reaction nothing to do with the huge bits of skin I have hanging from my vulva. He barely looked at me during the examination just said was likely to have teared during child birth. And my gap would have to put together an appeal with which he would agree that I need the labiaplasty. Was really expecting some answers and a defiant eyes or no. But just have come away with nothing but a bit of paper saying I need oilium shower gel and e45 cream for an allergy I dont think I have as Ive cut everything out in the last 10 years

Hi, I pm'd you. Sadly once the swelling had went down there was still too much labia left and it was uneven so I'm going in for a revision surgery next week. Really nervous as I want it to be right and don't want to have to go through this again. It took me about a month before I could walk properly again last time and kept swelling with walking until around week 10. Hoping it will be all go okay this time :(

Hi Rhi, I'm considering Labiaplasty at Pall Mall but an concerned at the lack of reviews I can find online? I was also considering the Wedge technique under local and wondered what the costs were? Would you mind sending the pics of before and after to see how this technique looks? thanks Laura

Hello there ladies,

I can't see anywhere whether you had laser or surgical labioplasty, which you believe to be superior, and quite how long it took between 'booking' the treatment and having it done?

Also, can anyone attest to the (generally American) before /after photo's being anywhere close to your own realities?

Yes, I am Male, but I ask in all seriousness and expect an equally mature response (for a Female - not me)
