I had my period a couple of weeks ago, and at the beginning of this week(Monday) i stopped my pack of birth control pills, which was mid-cycle because my husband and I are trying to conceive. On Friday of that week i started my period again, with cramping.Is this a normal occurrence when you stop b.c. pills mid-way through? Is there a chance of pregnancy?

It's normal.
Basically, the pill is a low dose hormone. When you took the pill the last week was a placebo, a reminder. It had no hormones, just like stopping the pill and that's what triggered your period.
Your cycle may be a bit off for a period or two.
