Three weeks ago I cut my left index finger on a case cutter blade at home. I had to get a booster shot for it. The cut on my finger is a quarter of an inch long and is making the whole tip of the finger rigid and numb. Is this a normal part of the healing process? I've never cut my finger like this before, luckily it is only one layer of skin. Thanks.

Well,
You have to understand that cuts like these are not that simple. The cuts can easily get infected and if this happens your immune system will immediately try to suppress the infection. This is why your finger is burning. You immune system is working towards the suppressing the infection and killing all of the bacteria that got inside your cut. You have to take good care of the cut in order not to get any more complications. The burning part will be over in a day or two so you don’t have to worry too much. I hope that this helped you in any way.
All the best,
Nelie
