A practitioner looked at my left index finger that I cut with a cutter blade on 6/16 and got a tetnus shot on 6/17. It has been a month and the finger is now infected, even though I have used antibiotic ointment on it. The top layer of skin on its tip peeled away last Thursday revealing the infection below. Now it is still itchy and hates to get warm in water or moist heat of any kind, so the weather here is unbearable for my finger so much that I spend most of my time in my air conditoned house. I see another doctor, my primary care, on Thursday so I hope I get answers. Right now the oinments don't help, and the pills given last week are questionable. Anyone go through this? Thanks.
