On Birth Control, Spotting b/w periods, Bleeding after sex??

hi i am 15. i have been "spotting" for a month almost now. i also have bleeding after sex and have cramps really bad after sex and even when i am spotting. a two months ago i thought i was pregnant because i was 4 days late and i am on seasonique a three month pill. i have never been late on my pill.. i am worried that i am prego because the doctor said i still have a chance because it may too be too early when i got my pregnancy test two months ago. if anyone has any ideas plz reply

i am having the same problem.
i have really bad breakthrough that seems to happen after sex and is really red and fresh
and other times its pink.
i have done pregnancy tests too as i have vomiting and tender boobs but nothing.

did you ever find out whats up?

I've been on loestrin for almost 2 years now and I spot on the second week of my pack all of the time and bleed during sex almost every time. I'm 20 years old. I've gone to a doctor once for my ovaries feeling swollen but they said everything was fine... Obviously not if I keep spotting and bleeding during sex? Anyone have any suggestions? I've only had one partner and have been tested for STD's and they've came back negative.

That happens to me sometimes too after sex, sometimes I bleed and I don't know why. I'm sure however, that since it's been two months you'd know if you were pregnant by now.

I am having the same problem! I am taking Microgestin have been for about a month or two now since I got my insurance through Kaiser. Originally I was taking Ortho Tryclen LO! Which I got through Planned Parenthood, and everything was fine, my periods weren't irregular or anything! After taking Microgestin I start to bleed after intercourse which sometimes can last all day or for even two days, I sometimes spot which I know is normal when switching over pills but it happens two weeks before my period and some times it seems like I am having my period a week to two weeks after I just had it! I saw my doctor and she said I could have an STD. However I have been with my partner for 5 years and neither of us have been unfaithful. If I would have contracted it before my partner I am sure there would have been a flare up sooner than later. I am wondering if maybe the pill is too strong for me to take and if that could be the reason I am bleeding abnormally! Any help would do! Thanks! please email me

It could be that your body is used the bc your taking i was on the generic brand of yaz it started with a g for the life of me i cant spell it, but i was bleeding for 4 months straight i saw 5 different doctors and my last doctor told me it was because i had been on the same birthcontrol for so long my body got used to it. So we changed my bc and the bleeding stopped. So ask your doctor about that.

I've been having the same issue.

My boyfriend and I only get to see eachother once a week, so we take full advantage of it, but I always bleed a little. It usually just shows up in what spills out and stains my panties, not like an actual period or anything. I'm 25 and taking Camrese (generic version of Seasonique) and have been for just two months, so it could really be anything. (though, tbh, he might just be too big for me right now)

I'm getting a physical in a month or so; will respond with any info the doc gives me about it.

I just started taking generic form of Lo-estrin and I have been bleeding in between my periods and after intercourse as well. Im 20 years old and it is definitely embarrassing. However Im lucky my boyfriend does not get disgusted by things like this. I never had an std and was checked again a month ago. So it must be from the birth control and my doctor said it takes a few months for your body to get used to the pill.

Hey guys I'm turning 20 soon. Started on birth control basically a month ago. After my boyfriend and I have sex I start to bleed like normal blood, dark red blood. Put its not like wen u have your period say if you cut your finger and u start to bleed its like that. I'm abit worried but read on here that its normal. I'm on Yasmin 28 day pack. We have ovary cancer in the family and other types of cancer, but the doctor is aware of it and he told me to go onto Yasmin. If anyone has advise plz let me know! Thanks M

It'll be 3 weeks Tuesday I have been spotting but since yesterday it seems to of gotten heavier. I have been on ortho tri cyclen for over a year so spotting because of the birth control doesn't really sound right. I took a pregnancy test just to verify that too was not the problem. I know it isn't gonorrhea or chlamydia because I've been on 500 mg ampicillan for my acne for almost a month now and that antibiotic is used to clear up those std s. I just have light cramping sometimes and have gotten dizzy once. No blood after sex. Actually didn't bleed at all during the time of intercourse. So naturally I'm assuming I have cervical cancer or something else but with only the light cramping and bleeding as symptoms I'm just confused. Going in for a pap in a week tho. Hopefully I'll finally get an answer.

Hi! I'm so relieved that you have similar symptoms! I'm on Lutera, a generic BC and I've been on it for two weeks now. Every time I have sex with my bf, I bleed too! I was so scared! But after reading that it happens to other girls I feel a little better. I think I'm going to switch my BC brand.

Hey ladies. I am having the same problem. I have been on sprintec for a few years now and the past few months have been experiencing something similar. The only difference here is that my discharge is more of a brown, and like you mentioned 1 or even 2 weeks in advance of my period. I also have what seems to be bleeding after/during sexual intercourse and sexual play. My boyfriend had asked me if I was on my period or not. We were both a little concerned at that point. I am still experiencing this and can't get into my gyno until the end of the month. If you find out any information please let me know! Wish you the best.
