Im 17 years old and recently started on birth control about 5weeks ago.

everything has been going well until 9days ago i missed a pill, so i took two pills the next day as my doctor said; and as result for the last 8days i have been bleeding, with no sign of stop. I would not exactly call it heavy bleeding, but im used to short light 4day periods so im a little out of my element here.

My doctor told me it was ok not to take the pink pill week if i ever wanted to skip a period, or just not have them. The 1st month i took BC i did not take the pink pills,

im wondering..can this be the cause of the period now?
