an illusion of the mirror? are you kidding me? If doctors can see it too, it is definitely not an illusion.  Thanks for a horrible guess to a serious situation.

My son who is 16 has this happen to him.  Just the other day, we were talking in the kitchen and the left pupil was larger and then we went upstairs an hour or so later and while we were talking his right pupil was larger.  It happens often in him, especially when stressed like homework or worried about something.  When we first saw it he was 5 and had fallen off a chair so we took him to ER.  Wow, want to see doctors run go in and not know you child has aniscocoria.  They did CT scan and said all was well.  They told us to go look through all his close up pictures and see if we could find pics where this has always been the case and sure enough it was there all along.  It is something I always have to tell doctors now cause it freaks them out big time.

Well I have read many of these answers.. The truth is its Adies Pupil you can get it at birth, stroke, bad trauma to the eye itself.I have major migraines that it being controled by meds. It s a great not to suffer. Also a large pupil makes it hard for sunlight . You pupil is dialated and needs protected so where dark sunglasses in the outdoors. Some people dont suffer from migaines but they do feel the pressure behind the eye . if you see floaters get a diabetic test done

Yes!!! You have valid cause for concern and based on what you have said your health should be promptly followed up on. A visit to a neurologist might also be appropriate.

Don't worry about it. There is a large possibility it could be nothing. I'm 16 and I've had it since I was born. Doctors say it's nothing. It's actually fairly common. It isn't super rare, nor super common, but you'd be surprised how many people have it.

i have this adies pupil. Just been diagnosed by specialist.  Does it go away or does it get worse. Specialist said there is nothing they can do..  Do you have to wear glasses or contacts...I have been givin drops but found they hurt and were giving me minor short headaches.

I have this problem too and I'm only 10, only it's mixed up with 2 other problems. One, my right eye is blurry ALL the time nonstop. Two, my left eye is blue and my right is green. My dad told me the doctors told him that when I was a baby, they found out I had some kind of irritation in my right eye, making it to where I couldn't drive when I got to 16. My dad also told me I have a family member with the same problem. Sure, I can do all my daily tasks with my right eye, but all I want to know is...What is this? Someone please tell me. I feel endangered!
