About two  months ago, I slipped and fell onto a steel railing. I didn't fall far (about a foot, maybe a little more), but it was violent and hurt briefly. I landed on my right side lower rib cage with pain both front and back.

I am able to do what ever needs doing. Sometimes in pain, and sometimes without pain. I can breath, but breathing deeply does cause pain.

Most of the time, it is background pain, but coughing and sneezing does hurt.

The most comfortable position for me to sleep, surprisingly, is my right side. When I wake, and try to move, the pain is quite severe, but abates quickly if I get out  of bed and move about.

Although I don't believe it is connected, I have matastatic colon cancer of the liver. I was off chemo at the time of the injury, but have since resumed.

I have tried pain meds from Tylenol PM to Hydrocodone prescribed for another issue. None seem to have much effect.

Would appreciate any insight to this, as it is getting old, and I would like it to go away.
