I'm 73 and never had this until the last 6 months. It isn't constant but comes on suddenly last a few days. Went to a gastrointologist (or some such spelling). He was probably in his 50s with lots of experience with all ages and especially with my age group. He said it was improperly processed stool. Gave me Sitz Bath tools and told me to keep everything clean with up to 3, 20 minute sitz baths daily, and to use suppositories. That helps. I also use the Formula-D Psyllium Fiber Laxative/supplement which aids in cleanliness. I have a long past history of Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea from my military days, but that hasn't invaded me in over 30 years. I use pads when it seeps which is rare. It is gassy and eruptive when I have it and very oily.
And I eat very few real fatty stuff, no burgers, occasional lean beef roast. It remains mysterious to me.

I commented on this earlier and thought of another possibility. I have been read lots of tainted fish stories on the internet health sites. I've been eating and enjoying Atlantic Cod fish for many years one to twice a week. I read to not eat it any more because of parasites. So I stopped eating cod of any kind and things are better but still comes back unexpectedly. However, my wife was eating the cod and same amounts as me and never had the problem.

Same thing has been happening to me, never had sex, don’t like or eat cashews I do however have a cold and have been feeling down, my stomach is very bloated and seems to Ben growling and bubbling a lot, I went to the bathroom and it was like a shoot of discharge, happened a couple of times, I wiped and it wasn’t orange, not very dark orange, a light orange, very liquidy but was definitely coming together in a way, not sure what to do? Anyone got any answers?

Out of curiosity from reading through everyone’s replies to this. This just happened to me, the liquid was dark orange, almost red but definitely not blood. I’ve had extremely bad hemmerhoids for almost 4 months now and the best progress I’ve made has been recently from using natural laxatives, a tablespoon of coconut oil before eating. And a teaspoon of olive oil each morning. The results have been great and my hemmerroids have drastically improved over the 3 days I’ve been doing it. But this morning I went to the bathroom and before going I apply an oil to make it even smoother. My hand was literally covered in an orange oily substance. Kinda panicked initially then read this forum, which seems like it could be the answer. I don’t eat fish and haven’t eaten fish in over a month. The only thing concerning me is the colour being dark orange, almost red. Everyone else here refers to a light orange or yellow. Any ideas of what dark orange would mean?
