Hi,

Hope you can help. I get the shivers after orgasm. I feel cold and it last abouts 15 minutes, knees shaking, full-blown shivers. Why do I get this and how can it be avoided? I am a 45 year old female.

Thank you.

I see it has been a while since you posted your question. But I wanted to reply anyway.
It sounds like adrenaline. When you get yourself "worked up" the adrenaline is pumping pretty good. Then suddenly, you don't need it anymore and it has to find a way out of your body. Thus, the shaking. Women who give birth experience this immediately after the delivery. When someone gets really angry and they shake.
I really don't think you can avoid this and have good sex, too. I'd say, just breath nice and slow and think about what caused this shaking. Cuz it's a good thing!
