Hello! I ran into an article in the newspapers in which a guy had an orthagnathic surgery but I didn’t get it why. What sort of surgery is it? Does anybody here know?

Hi there! I had an orthognathic surgery after I had been in a fight with another group of people. My jaw got broken and I could chew at all and it hurt a lot. But usually people do orthognathic surgeries to eliminate chronic jaw pain and visible facial imbalances, as well as to improve breathing, and diminish speech difficulties. It is done by making incisions on the inside of the mouth to prevent visible scars, and the jaw is repositioned, sometimes held in place with screws.
