Hi,
nowadays i cant eat anything,if i force myself i gag,how can i get rid of it,specially in social scenario i cant eat before people, but i really want to stop this gag feeling,i am like i'll sit on table i will try to chew it and i feel i am going to vomit everything seem so tasteless,
i dont eat everything i am picky eater too,can anybody suggest what can be done

i like liquids and soft foods, that i can eat without gagging,if i try something that i dont like or the one which is not soft,i feel hard to swallow and i gag specially in the morning, i like shakes,the more i need to chew and focus on food the more i gag
and in summer i eat less,
i really want myself to eat like a normal person

I believe a lot of the problem stems from a learned behavior when you were younger. There were foods you didn't like because of the taste. You learned to associate the taste with the texture. You learned that when you felt certain textures in food, primarily a rough texture, you could gag to prevent yourself from having to eat them. Texture has become the signal for the gag reflex as an adult. You instinctively gag when the texture is not soft and liquid like.
This behavior can be unlearned. Try eating small bites of the undesirable foods. Chew them into very mushy liquid states before swallowing. To make them more palatable and tasty, add cheese, salt, or some type of sauce before eating. It will take time. Stick with it and you can over come the problem.
