What are the chances of ovulation if I've been on the same bc for the last 2  years (aviane) and missed one day on the 6th day of a new pack? Ive never missed  before and always take at same time each morning. My newest pack started on Sunday. My husband and I had intercourse on Tuesday (3rd day of pack) so I  realize I was protected that day but 3 days later (Friday) I somehow missed taking my pill that morning. By the time I realized it, it was Saturday morning when I went to take that days pill. So Saturday morning I took  2 pills.  But if sperm can live for 3-5 days that might make them still alive by Friday or sat if I ovulated. What are chances of  pregnancy? Will cervical mucous be too thick for sperm to get through by Friday  or sat.? Will lining of uterus be too thin for implantation if for some reason and egg was released and then fertilized. I've continued to take each pill since then and haven't had any sexual intercourse. I've talked to my ob/gyn and he said I should be ok but it's been hell waiting. I often wonder if I should have taken some kind of emergency contraceptive when I realized Saturday morning but I always thought that that was only good at least 36 hours after intercourse and I was already past that. My period should come next week on Tuesday but I going crazy having to wait until then and I'm totally stressing myself out. We already have 2 kids and I think i'm beginning to realize that I may not want anymore. Does anyone have any other answers for me?
