I had an apparently successful surgical hemorrhoidectomy three months. I was pain-free up to 3 weeks ago, and then my life changed for the worse again! Now i have constant and severe discomfort in the anus, which diminishes my quality of life, as hemorrhoids used to do. The Dr. says there is no fissure, no fistula, no more hemorrhoids. Come back in a month. Has anybody heard of a situation such as this? Thanks!!!!

Yes, that's what has happened to me except for the pain free part. I have been in pain since the surgery 3 months ago and dread every bowel,movement. I also get terrible trapped air since I feel that there is less room for air or anything to come out. Dr says just wait, no fissures or see another doctor but try to avoid too many surgeries down there or I'll lose complete control. Hello? That was the reason for his surgery. I am worse now than before surgery. Mi don't know what to do next. Lmk if you get answers.
