Hi
Im male 30 years old
For 2 months now I have been experiencing an aching mainly in my lower left abs and groin. This pain also goes sometimes into my left thigh, hip and lower back and left testicle.
I saw doc 3 times he said he thought it was epididymitis (spelling !!!), after 3rd time had ultrasound and they found NOTHING wrong. I found a small hard lump, which seems to be close to testicle but i ithink in the pipes. It seems to come and go and I mainly feel it when scrotum is large, so its possibly there all the time. Is the ultrasound that I had 100 % effective for finding cancer and other problems with the epididermis etc ?
Someone also said that maybe i have a trapped nerve in lower back although 95 % of the pain I have is at the front. Is this possible.
Any thoughts would be great as its been scaring and driving me crazy now for 8 weeks
Many thanks

Hi Tom,
It's hard to second guess a physician that actually has examined you versus over the internet. Did you see a urologist or your regular doctor? You may want to see a urologist if you have not as this is there area of specialization.
No test is 100% effective. It is a combination of the signs/symptoms, what the doctor feels (palpates), and the results of the tests. Did the doctor notice the lump you refer too? They'd have to biopsy the lump to determine what it is.
I'd like to toss out one possibility to you, kidney stones. They can, and do, cause pain in the genitals, abs, hip, thigh, lower back, etc. I just passed a stone two weeks ago and can tell you that I had all that and more as it came down.
A urologist can help you with that too.
Hope that helps some, please keep us posted.

I would seek out a second opinion if you're not comfortable with the diagnosis. :-)

Hi all,
I'm experiencing dull pain mainly where the testicle joins my right thigh. Pain comes and goes but it has stayed more and more. Any ideas?
