A while back I noticed a lump on the bottom of my left testicle, however it was not just a regular lump. I was a lump with interesting characteristics. For example the lump was only present upon having an erecting. Because of the fear of it being cancer I took myself to the doctor. I told the doctor there was a lump on the bottom of my left testicle but left out the fact that it was only there while I was fully erect because this is an extremely embarrassing detail that I did not feel was necessary to share. Besides, I doubt the doctor is really going to get me hard just to see if he could feel the lump. The doctor felt around and did not find anything, so he scheduled an ultra sound. The ultrasound did not reveal anything. The lump is doing something to reduce the amount of semen that comes out when I ejaculate. I know this because when I have sex on day's where ejaculate quicker then usual, I am not erect long enough to make the lump appear. When this happens I ejaculate a lot more then I do when I have sex for longer periods of time. This is because the lump forms when I have a full erection. I feel like the lump may be associated with veins in my testicle, and blood flow to my penis when
I have an erection. My girlfriend told me to go back to the doctor but I dont really want to explain that I need to have an erection for a long period of time before the lump will appear. What can this be?

Randy,

I recommend you see a urologist, not your doctor. Urologists specialize in this area.

Explain in full detail exactly what is happening. It is the only way the doctor can begin to formulate a hypothesis as to what is actually going on with you. You don't have to be embarrassed talking about this. They are there to treat you and have seen everything.

It may be a varicocele which is most likely what they were looking for on the ultrasound.

Not everything is cancer but if you are having problems and your girlfriend is noticing then you need to get checked.

Keep us posted. Good luck.
