I'm sorry darvocet is no longer available, for all those who took it without having side effects! You will definitely want to discuss the best pain killers for you with your doctor rather than going out to get your own without a prescription somehow, so it's best to simply ask your doctor the question you asked here. I think vicodin may be an option for you though, depending on what you need a pain killer for. Lyrica is another option, perhaps. 

I'm just brainstorming though, because it is really best if your doctor gives you this advice. They know your medical history and your condition and will be able to give the best advice.
