has anyone had experience of these symptoms? i had novasure ablation aprox 12 weeks ago, (this may be totally unrelated).
The proceedure,i was told went well, except I needed a huge amount of pain relief ,for the pain as i was coming round from the op.
In the first six weeks i suffered a lot of blood loss, then wattery loss and had an infection, this was treated by several courses of antibiotics, cramping pain, the op seams to have worked as vurtually now -only 4 days bleeding last month.
BUT, since the op ive had pain in the calves of my legs, which quickly, progressed to my chest, i have an acute shortness of breath and cannot walk at normal pace without being short of breath, pains, left side and under arm area, to high under breast area-i cannot wear a bra due to pain. my heart sometimes feels as if its jumping out of my chest and i have a strong fast fluttering pulse just below my right shoulder. i have over the weeks experienced total fatigue as if my body just has no energy at all (all my joints ache and im totally washed out) -I Have seen my doctors week in and week out, had many blood tests -even though slightly enemic -showed nothing.
ive had a heart trace - normal. chest xray - normal. I have never smoked, only have maybe 1 or two glasses of wine per week -
never took any unprescibed drugs and have a healthy diet. I feel very low ,tired and im almost debilitated and continuously in pain,
please reply if you have had anything like this or have any idea what could be wrong with me (serious replys only please) as my doctors havent seen this before are now refering me to a specialist gp for advice. :-(

OK! Now I am going to frighten you here, but I want you to go to the hospital right away! Tell them you had surgery recently and an infection and have shortness of breath and pain in your calf! I just want you to go IMMEDIATELY OK? Actually get someone to drive you! i think you have a blood clot!!! And if it gets to your heart it's BAD! So please don't mess with this OK? And I will keep my fingers crossed and please let me know how you make out! I believe you need to be put on Warfrin! Good luck honey!

thankyou for such a quick ,supportive and helpful reply i really appreciated your advice,
our local a&e dept had a five hour delay, so went straight to my local gp who immediately did a d dimer test,
they have been marvelous, ive just had the results showing negative, I still have the same symptoms - my doctor is also putting emphasis on an urgent appointment with a specialist, if chest pains get any worse i will go straight to the hospital, but any one reading this "dont be afraid of wasting time or appointments as i did" , get some advice from your hospital or gp straight away. i will keep this post updated with any developements as i have found it difficult to find advice and information ,we still dont know what is wrong but its now being looked into and most important it may help others finding themselves in the same situation.
MANY THANKS ONCE AGAIN.

You're welcome honey! Englands system is VERY similar to ours, I think if you had stated to the discharge nurse abour your history and symtpoms they might have seen you quicker! Here you can wait 8 hours in Emergency, BUT if it has to do with your heart or an embolism then they don't mess! Did you mention to him about Warfrin?
