Hi! I did some reading on Pantothenic Acid and I would like to get some more basic information about this vitamin. I would also like to know what necessary daily dosages of pantothenic acid are and in which foods it can be found. Thanks for the info

Pantothenic acid is a water-soluble vitamin, it is important for the human functioning, it doesn’t stay in the body and needs to be taken every day. Panthothenic acid helps in breaking down the food and using food for energy. Panthothenic acid is vitamin B5 and if you are not getting it from foods, you can find it in B vitamin complex supplements.
The adequate daily dosage for adults is 4-7 mg and for older children, younger children and infants need less. It can be found in poultry, lobsters, yogurt, eggnog, avocado, mushroom, sweet potato, soybeans, etc. Deficiency of this vitamin is very rare but the most common symptoms are fatigue, nausea, abdominal pain and allergies.
