Jeffrey Dahmer, you know, the famous Wisconsin serial killer who ate people and kept their heads in the freezer. He was diagnosed as a paranoid schizoprenic.

I believe the Green River killer was a paranoid Schizo as well

I've been told dilusional Schizophrenics are the most dangerous and the paranoid ones are harmless. Obviously this was not the case for the two serial killers above.

The problem with psychology is that it is not a science at all what so ever. Sometimes, to fool the public and lessen the embarrassment they call psychology a "soft science,", but it's not. It's no science. Anybody who gets into this field is wasting their time and money unless you are wanting to hurt people.

The DSM specifically places psychology in the subjective by relaying the need to be sensitive via the given culture at the time with how and what you consider abnomal behavior. Thus according to psychology, Schizophrenia may someday be an Ice Scream Cone.

The fact is, all Schizophrenia is dangerous (especially paranoid type) and you should watch your back. Medicine may help but you assume the victim is taking their medicine or the idiotic psychologists/psychiatry know what they are doing.

An example of the stupidity of these m****s, they give lithium for bi-polar, and cocaine to kids with a made up disorder ADD ADHD (Ridalin)

Just be careful and don't get killed.

It's not so much that psychotic people are dangerous...It's simply dangerous to be psychotic...Many people, due to their ignorance of mental illness and, particularly, psychosis, take it literally...It's kind of like the Jesus situation, where his full-blown schizophrenia was interpreted and taken word for word and is believed in to be real. It's dangerous to be off meds because things that you say while being psychotic, if taken literally, might be taken seriously or used for bullying the psychotic person, where people actually take action on everything a psychotic person says. An example: if you have a people problem, and call people s**m.....you might realize what this can potentially lead to. Normally, you would never say something like this, because you're aware of the implications. However, in a psychotic state, you can say many, what seems to be outrageous things, without fear. Sometimes, psychotic people even get literally punished for what they say, or get very vicious and cruel responses to their speech. This kind of shows who's indeed dangerous out there...

It's not psychosis that presupposes dangerousness in people. It's harmfulness or a compulsion to cause harm, which is present in every group or type of people. That's why not all psychotic people end up causing harm to others. However, non-psychotics can be a lot more harmful and, therefore, dangerous, for instance, take bullies or murderers....and so on...

I was viewing this post because I was trying to figure out if my downstairs neighbor was BiPolar or Paranoid Schizophrenia. She recently move in and have about 2 weeks blasting her surround TV up and down.  The only time it is quiet when I don't turn on my TV.  You can hear in our apartment thru the ceiling and floor unfortunately.  I'm planning to go to the rental office tomorrow, but it might just make things worst if she is confronted.  She will blast it up and down when my telephone rings and when I go to bed.

Last night was the worst when she had her speaker phone on and was  talking very loud and at the same time blasting the TV for 2hours!  Perhaps she thinks that I am attacking her in some way. My six years of living in peace in my apartment has been arrupted!   I live in a Senior Citizen apartment and now the government has allow persons with mental illness to live here if they on disability. Mostly they are mild; but some are angry persons.  I'm getting stress out! I ask the President of the Building; if she met her and she replied that Maintenace had asked her earlier to lower the   Any replies or suggestions!  Also she laughs out loud when she raising out the volume over and over!

I also have a paranoid schizophrenic neighbor. She is female, about 55 years old and lives by herself. She has threatened to kill me and other neighbors. Has been seen defecating by the garbage bin and yells and curses to where all the neighbors can hear her. She has also Keyed the entire length of my car on the driver's side. Her son and mother come to visit, but not often. I feel that they have dumped her into our community. I am scared that she may start a fire inside her condo putting all of us at risk.

I am an apartment owner and I just evicted a paranoid schizophrenic (I believe he has other severe mental illnesses) who not only went off of his meds but just got busted for aggrevated assault on another tenant, terrorist threats to me and other tenants, meth and alcohol abuse. He would hear things in the walls, swear up and down his ex girlfriend was hiding in these little tiny boxes all around, he would talk in circles and jump from one subject to the next in a frenzied way. He would talk about how he could scale the walls of the building like Spiderman and that voices were telling him he was Jesus and he came back to crucify all of us. He attempted to burn down the building to get rid of the demons that were inside the pipes and in his toilet, he stole our fire extinguishers and hid them, he broke into two of our storage buildings, he tore down most of the cieling panels around his apartment and made attempts to tear out the cieling sprinkler system because people were coming to get him from there. He told stories of how he would go to Walmart and people with shotguns would be around every corner ready to assasinate him. He told us all one day how he and his girlfriend (before she left him recently) got into a major car chase against the US military right out in the country just prior to his eviction and how they were firing at him from their hummers and chasing him with F-16's and he was able to drive fast enough and good enough to escape. He has been let out of jail two times! He is back in again for another assault and for breaking probation. How long they will keep him I don't know. But amazingly enough the cops around here hesitate on taking him in because to them, he's not dangerous, just insane. The fact that he broke and entered our storage unit and stole our fire extinguishers from around the property, assaulted a tenant, disturbs the livability of others, damaged property, cusses and terrorizes others in the surrounding area, makes attempts to climb out his upper story window to the roof, falling, nearly killing himself, threatening to kill us, talking about demons and his ex hiding in tiny boxes, and on and on...according to them, he has not actually hurt anyone so they never keep him in jail long and they release him and just tell us there is not much they can do. Right@ Get caught talking on your cell or driving without a seatbelt and they can bust you easily but are very lazy about this situation. Doesn't matter, I keep calling them and telling others to do the same. His doctor just gives him Ambien and Clonipin and says he just has an anxiety disorder. BS!! His records show he was in prison off and on for 20 years and diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia about five years ago.  He needs to be instituitonalized. He is seriously dangerous!

i agree somewhat with your comment, i suffer from the same thing although im not full blown, preference to being alone and persecutarory thoughts i also have, we are more likely to be victimised by others then perpetrators, but i will state if the persecutory beliefs become extreme action may need to be taken to stop ones self from the believed harm which may cause outburts ov violence or possibly worse. its a popular mistake that schizophrenics go around killing people and are highly dangerous to others but in rare cases it does happen. schizophrenics are in more danger ov being victimised and abused by others then the other way around.

I just had a women come in to my place of work today suffering from paranoid schizophrenia and she must have snapped.  She started swearing (saying REALLY PHSYCOTIC THINGS) and threatening us if we didn't tell her where a person she was looking for was (the person didn't even work there) we would be really sorry and then started taking peoples drinks on their desk and throwing them on them and screaming crazy things.  Thank god there was a male co worker there to help us and someone called 911 right away.  I really thought she was going to do something horrible and hurt us.  I swear if she had a gun she would have killed us all. No doubt in my mind. That's how crazy and out of control she was.  I've been seriously traumatized from this event.

Paranoid schizophrenics most definitely can be dangerous. I used to know one who took his fiance (ex) for a drive, and when they came to a hill, he put the car into neutral and then jumped out, leaving her careering down a hill and over the edge. She was left with a permanently damaged back. He was constantly saying that people were 'out to get him. He would smash up his house. Last I heard, he got married and after about six months, was arrested for stabbing his wife. That was when he was diagnosed.

Read this folks, research folks this is "hear-say" this person posted here. "Paranoid schizophrenics" are two different medical conditions, which not even related to same classifications. Some layman came up with the term because is sounded good, but it's bull poop! Schizophrenia is not a mental illness, it is a "physical disease" that is caused by an action such a combat fatigue or coming home and your entire family has been murdered; that's an action that can created a schizophrenic condition; however, schizophrenic individuals can be medicated, some do not require medication and even some after ten (10) the symptoms just vanish. Schizophrenia is where the brain is disabling from an episodic event. Paranoia is a brief 'mental episode' that is brought forth from persecutory beliefs of conspiracy or threat towards oneself, thinking everyone is out to harm oneself. Paranoia and schizophrenic "are not" even closely related. 'Schizoid' is not related to schizophrenic either as it's a "personality disorder". Symptoms must be present for a minimum of 6 months before the disease schizophrenic can be documented. Over 35% of "world" population has shown some symptoms of schizophrenia created from an episodic event, except many times the 6 month rule is not met. "Paranoid schizophrenics most definitely can be dangerous"; that's is bullyrag madam, you have no clue what your posting here. You cannot prove your posting as accurate. Talking about what your friend done is inexcusable, it's a criminal act, not "Paranoid schizophrenic" contributor. Let me tell you folks all the real hidden truth about schizophrenia that many never considered: Fleetwood Mac, Peter Green the founder who was known as one of the greatest guitar player of all times. Even Rolling Stones agreed was schizophrenia. Albert Einstein's son Eduard the developed assistance with "Theory of Relativity" was schizophrenia. Art and paintings collectors known as the ritzy class favor paintings by Vincent Willem Van Gogh, the "Sunflower", a painting sold in 1987 for ($80M US Dollars) and guess what he was also schizophrenia. Doubt many of us could pay $80 million for any painting. NFL player Lionel Aldridge, famous "Packers" player who sent them to several championships was schizophrenia; Abe Lincoln's wife Mary Ann that politicians still refer today was schizophrenia; George Patton US Tank Commander was schizophrenia. To say Paranoid schizophrenics most definitely can be dangerous is Bull poop. You need to study harder and comprehend what've read because your clueless.

I'm sorry I have two schizophrenic women living in my house.. one is always upset and screaming that men are in her room trying to rape her and that there are dead bodies in her walks. Shockingly she is completely harmless. The second roommate with schizophrenia however can shut off acting crazy on most occasions she chases my housemates with knives and hides in drapes. She called the police on herself and then screamed at the police that they were all racist. She stands in the windows exposing herself to young children and the only reason the police arrested her was because two cops doing a work detail said that she had been yelling at them and then pulled out her tits. The police said that our liberal system in Massachusetts means that nothing will be done until she kills someone or herself I'm sorry but I'm hoping she will just off herself since she is an evil complete nutcase and a crack w****! I'm moving to my mothers state of Florida where I can shoot dead anyone who is batshit crazy and violent. Sterilize the insane!
