Quick back story, after one lower back, one neck and two shoulder surgeries I had been on gradualy increasing doses of Valium and Oxycodone/Oxycontin for around 2 years, at my peak I was on around 200mg/day, I mostly took as prescribed by the doctor although waking up at night in pain sometimes would lead to an extra oxycodone or two.

2/17/2014 I stopped, cold turkey after a comment by my doctor that I was on more pain medication than her cancer patients, that kind of hit home so I decided that instead of going ahead with my scheduled third shoulder surgery I would instead use the time I had taken off of work to stay in bed and feel miserable and hope that by the end of 2 weeks (when I was scheduled to go back to work) I would be feeling well enough to pick back up where I left off.

Two weeks went by and while I did not feel terrific I got through the worst of the acute withdrawal and was able to go back to work first part time then back to mostly full time. To be clear I was still not feeling 100%, the world is a beautiful place etc.. but I was mainly back to my old self with the exception of some minor leg cramps and some motivation issues (you know where you wake up and have to give yourself a pep talk to get out of bed... 1..2..3 go!)

A week and a half ago I had a bronchial infection and was put on a cough medicine called Tussionex which (unbeknownst to me) is bascially liquid vicodin. I was on 5ml 2x per day for about 4 days.

Fast forward to today, one week after stopping the Tussionex and I find myself with absolutely zero energy, up and down mood swings and again slightly leg crampy. I did a little research and went out and bought myself some vitamins (multi and B6 and B12) and some 5 hour energy drink (came up during my research and I thought what the heck I'll try it and it actually seems to have helped my mood for now).

So, my question (sorry for the FRAT), did the Tussionex set me back, if so how long (understanding that its different for everyone) should I expect to feel so... "off" is the only word I can think of to describe it but I am sure most of you know what I mean and can anyone suggest anything else that I am not doing that does not involve ordering some miracle herb from Africa with well known abilities to help ease detox but for some reason the US has not made it legal etc...

Any and all advice would be appreciated

Thanks in advance
