What is a detox?
Do you ever feel sluggish and getting a breakout of spots and bad skin? Whatever you try you put on weight rather than lose it and having digestive problems? This could be a sign that your body needs a detox from all the drains of everyday life. Detoxing is about resting and nourishing the body inside and out and giving the body the nutrients it needs, it can help you get over an illness or just refresh your thinking and feeling.

If our digestive system is not working effectively the liver and kidneys are unable to filter through the poisons and help us stay healthy.
A detox can:
- rest the organs through fasting/changing your diet
- improve circulation
- nourish the body with nutrients
- stimulating liver to get rid of toxins
Should I Do A Detox?
The body itself is very good at naturally detoxing itself but its advised that you have a detox at least once a year or after a period of particular trauma to the body such as a boozy holiday or Christmas period when feasting and drinking a lot. However, breastfeeding mothers, children and people suffering with degenerative diseases should seek medical advice before attempting a detox.
If you have these kinds of symptoms then its a good idea to consider doing a detox as you could be suffering from stress or a poor diet which can easily cause these problems but seek medical advice if any of them persist for a significant period of time:
- unexplained fatigue
- irritable skin
- allergy sufferers
- low level infections
- puffy or dark eyes
- bloating
- menstrual problems
- sluggish feeling
