:$ I have a pea size hard lump on my nose under my skin. the area is quite red and the lump suddenly appeared over a half hour period. The lump is quite hard.
It is not particularly painful but hurts if proded about!
I sought medical attention and ended up at A&E where i was told that i would have to take a course of antibiotics for infection and after the course i would have to go into hospital and have the lump cut out.
I was lucky not to be admitted and i was told that if the redness had been more severe i would have been admitted and given antibiotics intreveneously and then the lump would have been removed straight afterwards.
Please if anyone else has had this done can you give me your experience and what the operation was like. Are you given a local or general anathetic, and because it is on the face i am worried that i might be left with deformaties or a scar, please can you help?????? %-)
