I've just been told that one of my pedicle screw(from my low back fusion) was screwed into my iliac vein, severed my sciatic nerve & into my femoral artery. Does anyone have any suggestion on an excellent back surgeon in the state of texas? I'm in excruiating pain, I can't feel parts of my left leg, left buttock, knee pain & sever foot pain with cramping in the whole left leg. I'm willing to listen to anyone's suggestion. The only type of treatment I haven't tried is acupuncture. I've tried everything until I'm out of options. My current pain management doc wants to do even more injections thru my caudle, but I've already had over 15 sets of injections and not one time did any of them work at all.

Thank You

Tammy

Hey ,i feel for you ! In 2000 i was diagnosed with back instability after 2 previous lamis at L-4 L-5 S-1. My surgeon said my only option was screws & rods! So i had the procedure which left me in terrible pain even on oxycontin. It turned out that the bottom left pedicle screw was placed crooked into my nerve root.He removed the 5th out out of 6 screws & partial rod, have had 2 more surgeries trying to fix the problem, but i've been miserable ever since and am looking for answers & relief of this debilitating pain.........?
