I had never had a period before, then I started birth control for my acne. After about 2 weeks, it made me start my period, like the doctor said it would do. I had my period twice, then I stopped taking the birth control because I didn't like the side effects. After I stopped taking it my period never happened again. I haven't had one since. I was about 15 when this happened and I'm now almost 17.
Will I ever start it? Can I still get pregnant?

Hi! You should talk to your gynecologist about this. Girls who haven't gotten their period by the age of 16 are described as experiencing primary amenorrhea. Sometimes external factors or complications may prevent your period from arriving when it should. Women who go through significant weight loss, dieting, or perform considerable amounts of exercise on a regular basis are at risk of developing hypothalamic (or 'athletic') amenorrhoea. Take care.
