Hello!
I have been diagnosed with planta faciitis. This is practically preventing me from doing my daily activities, like running or other physical activities. I would like to know if the are some practical advices that I could follow to avoid planta faciitis in future?

Hey, here are some advices, which would be wise to follow. But you must realize that this might take a while.
You shouldn’t walk on the floor barefoot. You definitely cannot run right now. You need to take a break for at least several months. You should try gel inserts in your shoes. Especially with running shoes, which means it is best if you buy shoes which provide both support and shock absorption. Most of running shoes today have gel already inserted. Gentle stretching helps. Stand 1 meter from the wall, leaning against the wall and slowly stretch.
Also ibruprofen helps, when in pain. For two next advices, there are no clinical trials, but it could help: magnesium Oxide 800 mg daily will suppress bone turnover at the site of the insertion of the fascia. Some people benefit form biphosphonate type drugs.
Good luck and lots of patience!
