Okay, I'm 18 and 139lbs and I have been having chest pains for about 3 years now. When they first started it was a sharp pain and it would linger for a few seconds, I'm no stranger to pain but this made me stop in my tracks. This would happen any where; at my desk, in the hallway, lying down, anywhere. So, my mum got me an appointment after I couldn't laugh without severe pain. The doctor chalked it up to either me carrying 20+ lbs of books everyday or my heart catching on my lungs. I believed her, while I'd still get pain after I stopped carrying the books, but not as mutch mind you, I was happy to know what was wrong. I was diagnosed with a heart murmur when I was 6, but none of the doctors have deigned that with any concern. I continued to get heart/chest pains through out my high school career. But now that I've graduated, so no stress, they have gotten worse. It started when I started climing up my bunkbed to go back to sleep, I had a sharp pain while climing so I paused, it was different than the usual pain but didn't give it much thought. But after 5 mins of laying down, my heart stopped beating, it only lasted for about 2 breaths before my heart started up again, beating like a jack rabbits. Then I had another sharp chest pain, it started at the base of my ribs on my left side then shot up while branching out, like it was following my arteries, before it stopped as it reached my collar bone and spread a little intomy arm. Now my left arm feels like it has a very, very thin layer of almost fuzz covering it, and me sense of touch is dulled only in the slightest. I scheduled another doctors app, and I was referenced to cardio. There I had an ultra-sound done on my heart and an EKG and my blood pressure stayed normal for all three visits. They found nothing. Abosolutly nothing. I still continue to have chest pains that tick by, sometimes sharp, sometimes dull and achy. At times I get pain in my neck near the base of my skull, again only the left side. Same with aches in the inner side of my elbow. Now by this time I'm getting pretty scared. The doc says it is impossible for a girl of my age to get heart problems of this degree, but they never found anything. My dad and my grandpa on my dads side have enlarged hearts but nothing has showed up on me. Seriously please, any and all help will be appreciated! I am really getting scared. I try to make light of the situation by comparing myself to iron man but, I am going to college soon and the last thing I need is to miss the first month of classes due to this!
