I had sex with my boyfriend and 2 days after I started having some weird symptoms. I felt sick to my stomach, aversion to a certain food. It seems to me that I might be pregnant. Is it too early?

You did not give me enough information to be able to tell you more. It is unlikely that you are having symptoms of pregnancy just 2 days after the sex. However, it is possible that you are pregnant if you had intercourse with your boyfriend before that last time. I am sure that you know this. So, to be able to know if you are pregnant or not, you need to go to your gynecologist. That is the most accurate way to determine the pregnancy. Also, you can buy a home pregnancy test but you need to know that they are usually not sensitive enough to detect an early pregnancy. If you are worried that you might be pregnant, visit your doctor. All of your symptoms that you have listed in your questions are actually symptoms of pregnancy. However, it can also be a sign that you ate something bad and that you stomach is reacting to that food. You can wait and see if you will get your period, but if you are too worried, I advise you to ease yourself and check that out at your doctor

Yes, it's too early. No woman starts having pregnancy symptoms two days after unprotected sex. If you conceived, plenty is going on in your body, but on such a small scale that you will not notice it. You don't start having pregnancy symptoms until that egg implants in your uterus.

Plenty of women start having symptoms of something other than pregnancy two days after unprotected sex or even right away though, symptoms of WORRY and STRESS. Feeling sick to your stomach and a loss of appetite are both anxiety symptoms.

You can still be pregnant, if you had sex during a fertile period, but it's not because of pregnancy that you started having those symptoms.

If you notice a brownish discharge in your cervical mucus, relax. I don’t think that there is anything to worry. Brownish discharge in cervical mucus is almost always old blood that did not leave the uterus during your last menstrual cycle and sometimes can also be associated with ovulation. Occasionally when you see a brownish discharge in your cervical mucus, it can also be the result of trauma to the cervix and it can be caused by simple thing as sexual intercourse is. However, sometimes the brown discharge in cervical mucus can also be attributed to implantation. In this case you are pregnant. It is called Implantation bleeding. It is actually vaginal discharge which usually contains a small amount of pinkish or brownish blood. It happens usually at the time the fertilized egg implants in the uterus and this is on average between 6 to 12 days past ovulation.

Unless accompanied by cramping, backache or increased bleeding, a small amount of blood being discharged should be considered as implantation bleeding and you shouldn’t be about it. I think that quickest way to check if you are pregnant is Home pregnancy tests. It can confirm pregnancy at the time around your period is about to come and you can find it in every drug store.

if you are questioning whether or not you are pregnant after having had an intercourse, first take into consideration when your ovulation cycle is. if you dont know when you ovulate you need to be taking precautions if you want to avoid an unwanted pregnancy. if your menstrual cycle is 28 dyas, you likely ovulate about the 14th day. sperm can live in the woman's body for up to 2 days, so you may have sex 2 days before you ovulate and still get pregnant. also the egg is in a position where it can be fertilized for about 2 days. so your fertile period of your cycle (if it is 28 days) is esentially from day 11 (starting the count from the fist day of your last period) to day 17. And, YES! YOU CAN HAVE SYMPTOMS AFTER ONLY BEING PREGNANT FOR TWO DAYS! Immediately after fertilization, hormone levels start to soar. For me, this meant that my breasts were hugely swollen and very very tender and sore on the third day after intercourse! My breasts would normally swell a litlle bit a few days before the start of my period, but this was 11 days before my period would have started, and they were far more swollen and tender! My digestion was also markedly different. Also due to the rise in hormones, you may start experiencing aversions to certain foods, cigarrette smoke and alcohol. Perhaps it is nature's protective way as these harmful substances are especially detrimental in early pregnany and may cause fetal abnormalities or miscarriage.
If you suspect you may be pregnant, take a home pregnancy test. most of them are not accurate until you have missed a period. If you just cant wait to find out you can get a blood analysis to determine pregnancy at your doctor's office or at a Planned Parenthood clinic. It will cost more to get a blood test than a simple urine test (a urine preg test done at your doctors office is no more accurate than one you use at home, given that the test is performed properly), and if you plan to abort, you will still have to wait until there is more development of the embryo before it can be removed anyway. Overall, relax. Review your menstrual cycle as well as your diet and emotional state as all of these things can cause similar types of symptoms. Be well, and good luck!

Ok, well, I will let you know that from personal experience that you CAN get pregnant on the 5 and 6 days from the start of your period. After that, I never fell for the "Ovulation Rule" again. Some women are just more fertile than others. You should be able to get a test and find out by now. If you are pregnant, it will most likely give you a positive according to your posting date.

I had sex with my boyfriend the last day of my period, although I understand ovulation cycles, Im still worried as to whether or not I may be pregnant. Also, I had slight bleeding similar to the start of my period, but its only been two weeks since the last time I menstrated It's uncharacteristic as my period comes every 28 days like clock work. Plus, the blood only occured one day and it was very very light. Is it possible I am pregnant or that I experienced a miscarriage as most occur before a women has even missed her period? %-) In addition to the irregular occurence of the bleeding I am also experiencing lower back pain and no breast tenderness like I usually have before or during my period. Scared...

Well, from my own experience, 5 pregnancies, I will tell you that (assuming you did not use protection) it sounds like it is very possible that you are PG. To have the back pain and the spotting, about 1 week after sex, suggests that you are probably experiencing Implantation Bleeding. This is when the egg latches on to the mother's uterus, and the placenta is formed. There are numerous blood vessels in the placenta, and they have to deeply embed into the uterus in order to gain nourishment. The roughness of this implantation, sometimes causes Implantation Bleeding. Implantation Bleeding usually lasts one day and is very light.

I myself had sex with my husband on the last day of my period, and became PG with my 5th child. I did also have mild cramping as the uterus began to grow. I knew I was PG before the test could even tell me I was, just from the symtoms, even though I thought I would have been safe the last day of my period.

You most likely have 1 week minimum before a test is going to give you a result. You can try then and sometimes there is a high enough level of HcG to give you a positive if you are PG, even before you have missed, The tests are very good. But, remember, if you take one before you have missed your period, a negative is not a certainty. You could still have it come out positive at a later date. I am just saying that sometimes you can see that positive even a week before you have missed your period. But since you are so regular, you have the bonus of knowing exactly when 1 week before your cycle begins actually is. You will not know for sure until you miss your period, of course. But I know you are scared and want to know ASAP.

Please come back and let us know if you get the chance.

Good luck.

Thanks, Its been two weeks since the last day of my period, so the bleeding isn't one week after it was two, is that still possible implantation bleeding? Now it just feels tingly and sort of crampy, which may sound off but I experience severe cramps when I menstrate to the point of vomiting, so these are more just slightly tingly similar to indegestion or constipation cramps. I have a doctor's appointment on Monday but I assume they may tell me what you have already told me. But I made it just in case its something entirely different. Oh well just keeping you posted.

I have a similar problem...
About a day after intercourse i had a very small case of spotting. then about 2 days after, i started to get abdominal painss {similar to period pains}, i have the urge to pee a lot as well. i read that the frequent urge to pee only occurs after weeks when pregnant. and read that i could have a urinary tract infection that gives off almost the same symptoms as pregnancy. i`m worried and not so sure.... isn`t it a little too early for implantation bleeding or pregnancy signs?

it is impossible to see pregnancy signs that early, it is possible to be pregnant but you wouldnt be having signs already, when was your last period? you could just be about to start it.
