i am 38 weeks pregnant, i recently started swelling in my feet, face and hands.i keep getting headaches bad ones where i see spots and have to stay in bed for them to go away. i recently started having shortness of breath and chestpain. i have told my doctor about this he tells me to rest and drink water. he never spends more than 5 minutes in the room with me. any suggestions for some relief??

Well, swelling could indicate that your kidneys are not working properly but it is to some degree normal to swell a little bit just before delivery. It is individual.
I'm in my early pregnancy, so I can't say if your symptoms are expected but maybe you should look for another opinion. There is a cluster of symptoms in your case but again I guess doc would know if something's wrong.
They usually dismiss those pregnant women who are doing fine and pay more attention to those with problems.
