My dad has some health problems. They told him that he has something called pulmonary hypertension. What is it? Is his heart weak or what? He has been to cardiologist and he gave him diuretics and anticoagulants (blood thinners). Is this dangerous? Is he going to be ok? He is 51 years old.

Pulmonary hypertension means that he has high blood pressure in the arteries that supply the lungs. My dad suffers from same condition. This very serious disease, but he takes on day at the time. He quit smoking; slow down a bit with activities. I don't know he is long on treatment, I am also very worried…but he likes better not to talk about this with us.
