Red ring around toddlers penis!

Hi hon: Have you been trying to move back the skin since he was a baby? If so you're not supposed too. I was told by my pediatrician that this should only be done when they are 4 or 5 years old. Inadvertantley you might have cause a little bit of damage around the tip of his penis. I think you should have a doctor check it out, it sounds like there might be a little tear underneath where the foreskin is attached to the shaft. Or he could have a little infection. Yeah, that's exactly right. Just out of curiosity are you a mom or do you just happen to know about the issue? I am only asking because I know that a lot of mothers are not very knowledgable on penile health for boys so it'd be nice to see that some people know anyway. :)

I am a mother of 2 boys 16 and 14! I didn't have either of my boys circumsized as I asked about
keeping the area healthy. And I personally don't believe in taking anything that was already there.

I was told how to do it by several doctors and warned about not doing it too early!!!

I’m sorry but your pediatrician misinformed you. You are supposed to pull the foreskin back to keep it clean every day you’re supposed to clean it if not buildup gets inside and that can cause infections also..so you’re wrong you’re supposed to pull it back every day and clean it
