Recent study found that patients who are treated with a new pill had significant improvement in cholesterol, triglycerides and other key lipids that can lead to heart disease. Results showed that patients who took Simcor combination pill had reductions in non – HDL, HDL and triglyceride levels.

Simcor combination pill represents niacin and simvastatin together and it has ability to target HDL (good cholesterol) , LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides. Niacin has ability to raise HDL and statins reduces LDL and triglycerides.

At the end of the research patients who took 20 mg of Simcor combination pill had better results in reducing non – HDL , HDL and triglycerides when compared to 20 mg of simvastatin therapy alone. If patients took 40 mg of Simcor combination pill they had better results in triglycerides reduction than the patients who took 80 mg of simvastatin alone.

This results clearly indicate that Simcor gives better results than simvastatin therapy alone and it should be used for treating patients with complex lipid disorders, the metabolic syndrome and heart disease.
